The classic nautical stripe pattern features an embroidered bee on the reverse, taken straight from the original illustrations of the pioneering 17th century naturalist Maria Sibylla Merian.
As a symbol of our need to protect the natural world during the climate crisis, Maria’s bee encapsulates how past knowledge can inspire the future.
